I received some requests asking to add more materials and / or an user manual. I'm sorry but I have not enough time to write an user manual. I added this new section - The network tasks - to try to explain the run time behavior of the demo. How to test it using a WEB browser running on a computer connected to the board via Ethernet. I hope this new information, and the source code documentation should be helpful.

This page describes what happen when the system startups with regards to all network related task.

Updated the directory structure

Starting from FreeRTOS version 5.0.3 I made minor changes to the the directory structure of the demo. The Figure 1 shows the new organization.

First I moved the low level library files - ST Standard Library - from the Demo/ARM9_STR91x_IAR/Library folder to the Demo/Common/drivers/ST/STR91xFWLib folder. This helps to share the library code between all STR91x demo project, and it improves the source code re-usability and maintenance.
Then I used a schema versioning to better manage more versions of the same component.

I uploaded the file FreeRTOS_5_0_3_lwIP_1_3_0.zip that contains these changes.

I filled this page with more information about the directory structure of the demo... finally!

Added Make_fsdata utility

I use this simple Windows application to generate the read-only file system image (fsdata.c) needed by both lwIP and uIP web server.



To use it, press the Open button and choose the root folder that contains the web server files, and than choose the output .c file. That is all.

What's new in this version:
- Code cleanup.
- Fine tuning of lwIP option file.

The main demo documentation page has been updated after the demo upgrade to lwIP version 1.3.0.
The new section Last news shows the last changes I made to the demo.
The section More details... tries to provide a deeper description of the demo architecture.
